Project:

Clorox 'Beautiful Messes'

Type:

Recent, Live Action

Mixed media design is something that makes us incredibly excited here at Scholar. Not only do we get to craft thoughtfully composed frames using a number of different techniques, we also get to get our hands dirty at the same time! So it was no surprise that when we read DDB SF’s brief for Clorox “Beautiful Messes” we said to ourselves, HELL YES, this is absolutely, 100% something we want to make. Partnering with food stylist extraordinaire Maelle De Schutter, we dove into this type-centric brief feet first. It was important that each “mess” had it’s own personality so we carefully selected our fonts to carry this personification over to every scene. We then set about projecting the words into our mini sets and carefully traced each one by hand. The surrounding spaces were then art directed just enough to tell the story of how these beautiful messes came to be. I think its safe to say, this project ticked a lot of our most hallowed inner-nerd-boxes and we’re very happy with the end result!
