Project:

Varo Bank 'It's Your Money'

Type:

Animation

What if we have the power to change the way banks work? Money shouldn’t work for some of us; it should work for all of us.

We jumped behind Varo Bank’s mission statement, conceptualizing a campaign that defines an entirely new kind of bank, one that represents everyone, by reimagining communities and everyday people in the engraving style of currency. We found a balance between the technical process of creating an engraved world while retaining the humanity of the performances. The depth of the manifesto inspired us to push on the edges of visual language and challenge the technological boundaries of what we thought would be possible.

“This film is draped in aesthetic, complemented with emotion, and shepherded by our heroes’ humanity. As a result, the simplicity of the design and the focus on technology all worked together to really capture Varo’s essence."

Process

“One thing that drew us to this project was that we could help to define an entirely new kind of bank - one that represents everyone. These stories are grounded, real and rooted in community.”
