Maya Generalist / Los Angeles & New York


Scholar is looking for a Maya CG Generalist artist to add to our team for short and long term projects. Our diverse team is drawn together by a love for design and an eagerness to push boundaries. If that sounds like you then keep reading.


Job Duties

  • Help with all or some of the various stages in the Maya pipeline from Modeling, Texturing,  and Animation to Lighting and Rendering
  • Execute a broad range of 3D styles from photo-real VFX to illustrative character work
  • Quickly concept and execute CG renderings to supplement creative pitches
  • Troubleshoot scenes and assist artist in solving the technical challenges of CG production


Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Experienced knowledge of Autodesk Maya
  • Proficient with a major production rendering software, VRay/ Redshift preferred
  • Nuke, Cinema4d, Substance, ZBrush, and/or Houdini experience a plus
  • Follow feedback and instruction from leads and supervisors well
